Stan Todd Sicade Sr., 47 of Tulalip passed away December 12, 2014.

He was born August 30, 1967 to Henry “Hank” and Rose Sicade in Tacoma, Washington. He was raised in Tacoma but also lived in Puyallup, Muckleshoot/ Auburn, Squaxin Island and Tulalip.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Sicade; children, Dianndra Sicade, Brian Sicade, Sandra Sicade, Buddy L. Sicade, Lluan Sicade, Stanton Sicade Jr., Nyah Sicade; siblings, Fredrick Sicade Sr., and Susan Jones; mother, Rose Sicade; grandchildren, Aaliyah McLean, Cassidy Brown, and Alyssa Satiacum-Hamilton; aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Henry “Hank” Sicade; his grandparents and numerous, aunties, uncles and cousins.

March 8, 1959-Dec. 15, 2014 Francis “Frenchy” Edwin Comenote, 55 of Tulalip passed away December 15, 2014.

He was born March 8, 1959 in Everett, Washington to George and Pauline Comenote.

He is survived by his children, Francis “Franky” E. Comenote, Elizabeth Comenote, and Andrew Comenote; siblings, Gene (Marie) Zackuse, Norma Comenote, and Charles Comenote Sr.; ten grandchildren; and special aunt Vera Zackuse; and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Norbert Thomas Wyakes, 85, of Tulalip, Wash. passed away December 29, 2014.

He was born on Sept. 17, 1929 to Thomas and Dore Wyakes in La Conner, Washington.

Norbert loved Western and 50′s Music, WWE Wrestling, Western movies, cars, batteries, and his Cowboy Hats. In 1998 Norbert and his sister, Dorothy were the first King and Queen from Tulalip Senior Center.

He is survived by nieces, Connie Matteson, Muffy Ordonia, Lina “Yellow” Martin, Monica Ordonia,; nephew, William Ordonia, David and Joe Fernandes; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Dorothy Nudo, Janice Nacionales; and niece, Esther (Ordonia) Davis.

Randall Eugene Henry, 50 of Tulalip passed away February 22, 2015.

He was born October 15, 1964 in Everett, Wash. to John and Barbara (Bull) Henry.

He was a commercial fisherman, enjoying fishing with his dad in the San Juan’s; a woodcutter; and a maintenance man. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his children, Mary and Sophie Henry; siblings, Adrian Henry Sr., Alice Henry; Kerri Henry, and J. Lee Henry; grandchildren, Raven Revey and Loralei Henry, Joshua Henry and, Lawrence Henry; his one and only aunt, Mary Fryberg; and several cousins..

Dec. 24, 1945-Feb. 28, 2015 Alvin Joseph Tom, 69, of Tulalip passed away February 28, 2015.

He was born December 24, 1945 in Bellingham, Washington to Isadore and Laura Tom. He was a commercial fisherman, logger, and worked at the unemployment office.

He is survived by his children, Laura Tom, Andrew Tom; step-son, Andrew Joseph Lorenz; siblings, Isadore (Dobie) Tom, Laureen Lawrence, Geraldine Bill, Vivian George, Loretta Tom, and Lucille John; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Donald Charles Hatch III was born on October 11, 1960 to Donald Hatch II and Barbara Anderson Hatch. Donald was surrounded by his family when he went to be with the Lord and his mother on March 6, 2015.

He was a graduate of MPHS in 1978. Donald’s passion all of his life was revolved around sports. Playing football, basketball, baseball and golf all of his life. Any tournament Donald attended he would always be recognized for ALL-STAR or MVP. He was known as a walking sports Almanac. A special shout out to the “Original” Renegade Team. Donald is a third generation coach for Tulalip. Donald’s career started out at Boeing. Then he became a bingo caller at the Tulalip Tribes entertainment center. Then he moved on to the Tulalip Casino as a blackjack dealer, eventually becoming pit boss. But of course his passion for sports moved him on with his career to Athletic Director at the Tulalip Boys & Girls club. In his life he was known as a mathematic wizard.

He leaves behind his father, Donald (Penoke) Hatch Jr. and Cy (Karen) Fryberg (second parents); daughters, Jacqueline and Haley Hatch, Michelle Hutchins; his only son, Deion (Rocio) Hatch. Besides his children the joys of his life were his grandchildren Nate, Alesha, Amare, Peyton, Francis, Deion Jr, and Honey girl. He also leaves his siblings, Denise Hatch-Anderson, Andrea (Steve) Hamilton, Paula Hatch, Carrie fryberg, Jennie Fryberg and Kristi Jo Parks. Brothers Lawrence Hatch, George and Bubba Fryberg; numerous aunts uncles nieces and nephews.

Preceded him in death, his mother, Barbra (Anderson) Hatch; and his soulmate, Shirley Lyn Jones; as well as many more of his ancestors from Muckleshoot and Tulalip.

George E. Carpenter (86) passed away peacefully on March 10, 2015.

He is survived by Loving wife, Virginia; his sons, Eugene Carpenter, Don (Alice) Carpenter; and daughter, Lou Ann (Kari) Carter; grandchildren, Mandy Carter, Rosie (Grover) Topaum, Sarah (Anthony) Hart, Bryce (Bonnie) Juneau, and Angela Taylor; and great-grandkids, Mikey, Bryce Jr., Takota, Melissa, Juanito, Dorothy, Louise, Aredell, Tia, Adam, Ali-rae, Angel, and Tyler. He is also survived by his sisters, Gloria Davis, and Geraldine Boyd.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Carpenter; his brother, Glen Carpenter, and sister, Grace VanDalen.

George has a special place in all of our hearts, As he would say “See you in the funny papers”.

Charles “Red” Sheldon (98) passed away peacefully on March 15, 2015.

Born in Tulalip to Robert and Sarah (Charles) Sheldon, Charles served in the Army during WWII, after surviving Indian boarding school and the depression where both he and Thelma gained skills that gave them the ability to be self-sufficient.

Married to his first wife Thelma Townsend, he raised her 1st born Marlene as his own. After their divorce he found a loving partner in Helen Forrest and he treated her children as his own; Nan (Harold) Lippoid, Suzie (Craig) Thompson, and Ken Forrest.

Charles was a member of VFW#13 of Everett, and was still attending dances there until recently. Charles was also a proud member of the Tulalip Tribe and served on the board of directors for 17 years.

Charles enjoyed traveling and saw the world throughout his life, after retiring from (Norm) Buse Mill after 36 years.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Sarah Sheldon; his previous wife, Thelma (Townsend) Sheldon; and loving partner Helen Forrest; and his siblings, Angelina Brown, Sebastian “Sub” Williams, Martin Williams , William “Taft” Sheldon, Louise Ledford, Bernie Williams, Katie Gates, Lawrence “Buster” Sheldon, and Linnette “Nettie” McKay, and granddaughter Sarah Ann Wilson.

Charles is survived by his children, Charles R. Sheldon Jr., Marlene (Tobey) Beltran, William “Sonny” Charles Sheldon, Byron Lee Sheldon, Lita Jane “Koko” (Jack) Mowrer, and Karen (Morris) Zackuse; grandchildren, Brandon Bryant, Morgan Bryant, Julie Wilson, Emily Wilson, Rachel Mowrer, JD Mowrer, Max Mowrer; and great grandchildren, Tycen, Aiden, Avery, Harley, and Henry.

(Gobin) July 11, 1936-March 15, 2015 Betty J. Taylor (Gobin) was born on July 11, 1936 to Joseph and Ruth Gobin. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends as she began her last journey to see our Lord, her husband, son and daughter on March 15, 2015.

She was a lifelong member of the Tulalip Tribes and worked for Tulalip Elementary School until she retired after 33 years, at which time her last grandchild graduated from the Tulalip Elementary School. She enjoyed retirement and spending time with her husband of 63 years. One of her favorite passtimes was going to the casino. She loved going on trips to the ocean with her children and grandchildren, taking long rides and having family dinners. She always opened her home to her Seone family and the new baby dancers. Her family was the most important things in her life especially raising her great grandson “Nico”.

Augusta G. Lobehan of Auburn, Wash. went to be with our Lord on March 24, 2015.

Augusta was mostly known as “Gus” or “Scotty”. Gus was born to William Sam, Sr. and Carole Allen on August 16, 1960.

She was raised in her early years in Tulalip by her parents and also lived with Don “Penoke” and Barbara Hatch. As a teen she moved to Muckleshoot to live with Kenny and Charlotte Williams and her Mom and Step Pops Don Allen. September 26, 1994 she married Archie Lobehan. Ever since they were inseparable. He has the same compassion as his wife, taking care of others. Both natural caretakers.

Clifford George Enick, 56, of Tulalip passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2015.

He was born June 11, 1958 in Everett, Washington to Gerald and Maryann Enick (Moses). He was a commercial fisherman and he served his tribe as a gravedigger.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Stewart-Enick; son, Harley Enick; siblings, Gerald John Enick Jr., Francis Eugene Enick, Michael Curtis Enick, Darrell Dan Enick, Harold Leslie Enick, Delores Gay Bill, Lynn Sheryl Selam and Howiann Margaret Enick; grand-children, Nakayea Stewart, Khyro Stewart, Anthony Gepner, and Keydron Enick; adopted mother, Margaret Greene; several aunties, uncles and cousins.

Charles “Yah-Lee-Chud” Sneatlum Jr., 60, passed away June 7, 2015. He was born April 5, 1955 in Everett, Washington to his parents Charles and Shirley Sneatlum.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Shirley Sneatlum; his brothers and sisters, Cliffie Sneatlum, Sunnee Sneatlum, Sheryl Sneatlum, Charmaine Sneatlum; Aunt Marie Sneatlum; and grandson, Michael Sneatlum. He is survived by his life-long mate of 44 years, Janet Patrick; his children, Charles Sneatlum III of Tulalip and Edward Little George Sneatlum (Kim) of Muckleshoot; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; his brother, Leonard Sneatlum of Muckleshoot; sisters, Renee Sneatlum, Lisa Sneatlum (Martin Hannigan), and Dawn (Roger) Miller all of Muckleshoot; and numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing stick games, fishing, hunting, playing slot machines, and riding his motorcycle.

He participated in the winter spiritual pow wows. In his younger years he pulled canoe for the Tulalip Tribes. He was a participant in the fish wars/Boldt decision. He worked for 25 plus years at the Tulalip Casino.

Debra “Debi” Janean Barto Debra “Debi” Janean Barto, 49 of Tulalip went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2015 surrounded by her children and family. She was born April 15, 1966 to Robert Barto and Linda Hill in Eureka, California. She loved to go to garage sales; to garden, to camp, going to the beaches and rivers, and was an avid reader. Her children and grandson were her life. She loved her community. Debbie is survived by her six children, Heather McLean, Shane McLean, Travis Carpenter, Rayvin Foster, Christian Foster, Clara Foster; her mother, Linda Hill; three sisters, Sue, Shelly, and Teddi; grandson, Cory; Aunt Charlene; Cousin Billie; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. With heavy heart and sadness, we lost a good man and loving husband in Larry on June 24, 2015. Larry was a Tulalip Tribal elder, born in 1937, Mount Vernon, Washington. Later in life, he was interested in and proud of his Native American ancestry, coming from people of the Snohomish/Hibulb Village area (North Everett/Preston Point–named after his great great grandparents), Jamestown S’Klallam and Lummi tribal ancestry. His wife, Carol and children, Laurie and Dennis by his side, Larry passed from complications of heart bypass surgery. Larry is survived by his sister, Delores (Danny) Stamaris. Predeceased by his brothers, Mannie Laurent and Lloyd Cepa; and sisters, Leone Putnam and Virginia Brumbaugh. Larry leaves behind his sister-in-laws, Caroline Cepa and Peggy (Larry) Trim. He leaves behind his special niece and nephews, Sherry (Pete) Guzman, Terry (Pam) Parker and Ron (Donna) Burns and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Jesus “Zues” Antonio Echevarria, 44, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends.

Zues was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on January 11, 1971, to Jeannie and Carlos Echevarria. Zues was an active participant throughout his school years and an excellent lineman. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1990. Throughout his life, Zues was famous for being a protector, watching over all of his family and friends.

It is difficult to summarize everything that he was great at; he was a wonderful daddy, brother, son, mate, cousin and friend. Zues was a professional entrepreneur; excelling as a fisherman, cook, football coach, security guard, and fireworks stand owner. Zues will forever be remembered for his compassion with regard to children and was known for being a baby whisperer. His larger than life personality and humor will never be forgotten.

Zues is survived by his parents, Carlos and Jeannie Echevarria; brothers, Carlos Echevarria, and Juan Echevarria (Nazmi); nephew, Raihan Echevarria; special parents, Tony and Judy Gobin, sisters, Joni Gobin (Josh), Jamie Gobin, and Toni Jo Gobin; children, Mekalani, Alexzes and Jesus; and his best friend “The Warden” Heather Gobin. He is also survived by an extended family too numerous to list.

Leonard Daniel Williams Jr. (Boone) passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, in his home with his family around him. He had been fighting with his health for the past few years.

He was born February 4, 1952, in Tacoma, Wash. to Yvonne Zackuse and Leonard Williams Sr. Leonard grew up with his grandparents, MaryAnn and Edward Williams Sr. and his foster parents (names unknown).

Leonard also resided in Aberdeen, Wash. with his late wife Susan Cultee for a few years before he moved to Tulalip, Wash. where he spent the rest of his life with his family.

Leonard is survived by his daughter, Yvonne and her husband, Rob Dziubak; step-son, Jeremiah Isaksson; his grandchildren, Jacob Cultee, John Imholt-Cultee, Shyla Cultee and Rachay Imholt; and great-grandchildren, Alisyanna Enick, Peyton Cultee, Meleah Cultee, Carnie Cultee, Amailia Cultee, and Walia Cultee; sister, Mary Williams and family, Wanda Williams and husband, Hank Williams; favorite cousin, James Yant; long-time friend, Gail; special nieces and nephews, Sophia Bronchau, Yvonne and Dawn Williams and Jonathan Bronchau; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Phillip Lee Contraro “Spooker” was born on August 11, 1930, and passed away on August 16, 2015.

He was born in Everett, Wash., to Phillip Michael Contraro and Katherine “Katie” Sheldon. He was raised in Suquamish, Wash. and went to school there until he enlisted into the Army serving in the Korean War. He met his wife Loretta Young Hudson in 1969, was married to his love on September 7, 1973. When he was younger he played football and basketball. After Phil retired, he was always playing bingo and if you didn’t see him there he would be at the casino. He loved the thought of being a Grandpa. Through his life he has worked at Paine Field in Everett for many years. Also he fished for Bernie Gobin for many years. He then worked at the Tulalip Bingo as grounds maintenance and went on to work for the Tulalip Tribes ground maintenance.

Phillip was a very loving brother, dad, husband, grandpa, and great grandfather.

Tyson Daniel Walker, 21 of Tulalip passed away in an accident on August 18, 2015.

He was born to Cedrick Walker and Crystal Baggarley in Seattle, Wash. on June 30, 1994, at the University of WA Hospital. Tyson was a true 12th man for the Seattle Seahawks.

Tyson is survived by his mother, Crystal Baggarley; his father, Cedrick Walker; his siblings, Tashina Lundgren, and Travis Stevens; great-grandmother, Florence Baggarley; aunts, Kathleen Morse and Cleme; uncles, J. Daniel Perry, Conan Kopp, Cecil and Chris Walkers; niece, Estella Lundgren; nephew, Chase Hyle; and cousin, Alex Morse.

Visitation Monday, August 24, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman with an Interfaith service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Tulalip Gym. The Funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman

Dylan Dale Monger was born April 1, 1993, in Seattle, Wash., went to be with the creator on August 18, 2015.

Born to Lisa Anne Monger and Robert Wade Monger Dylan was raised in Tulalip, Wash., he attended Tulalip ECEAP, Tulalip Elementary school, then went onto Quil Ceda elementary and Totem Middle school. Then moved onto Arts and Tech where he learned to flirt with girls and write notes.” As his Dad would say “School of Hard Knock”. Dylan loved the outdoors, hiking camping just spending quality time with his “HOMIES” enjoyed and loved good times at the river (Big Rock and the Bridge at Sylvania) with his friends and family. Dylan was creative with his hands he loved building and creating gifts for those he loved. Dylan was a master of all trades which he learned many skills from his Dad. Dylan loved to cook he shared many good meals with his ” HOMIES” and family, Dylan loved to laugh, he created many stories and shared then freely with everyone that would listen, Dylan always had a good prank to pull. Dylan’s heart was so big and he loved to love and was easy to love by his friends and family.

There will be a visitation at Schaefer-Shipman at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, with an evening gathering at the family home at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.
